I had high hopes for Ravensbourne, after all it was their ex-student Jessica Au that won the Gold award last year, and I wasn’t disappointed.

The first womenswear collection out was Katie Williams’, all her pieces had clean lines and blocks of colour (orange, yellow, red) garnished with a floral stencil effect.
Another good bit of tailoring was also to be found in the form of Mehmet Ali’s menswear collection. He used neutrals and dusky pink to create opulent jacket and trouser combinations, yet his long belted cardigan and overcoat stopped it from becoming too ostentatious.
There were a number of good prints scattered throughout the show, including Yasmin Siddiqui’s surrealist set and those inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s pop art, created by Hayley Crompton.
The final collection in the show was a fantastic selection of knitwear; with a native Indian/totem pole vibe, models wore huge oversized jumpers in an array of radiant colours, accessorized with tweed trousers and pom-pom balaclavas.
Well it’s goodbye from me, no more shows to cover… I need to go and lie down!
