Tuesday’s closing show came from UWE Bristol, who left the GFW crowd with smiles on their faces to say the least!

70 year old DJ Derek from Bristol hosted the show; we met him at UWE’s River Rocks event last month and, true to form, he had his bottle of stout in hand. Purely medicinal we’re sure – we were told he was quite nervous about facing the fash pack. “Welcome to the Bristol posse”, Derek announced, and the show begun…
Jenny Saguaro’s menswear had a distinct ‘going to battle’ vibe. Her metallic collars, shoulder pads and helmets were reminiscent of samurai-wielding warriors.
Hannah Stewart’s embellished maxi kaftans looked great on the catwalk. The fans at the end of the runway breathed life and movement into the designs.
Francesca Jennings’ designs were well executed and clean-cut. I particularly liked her origami-esque accessories, her folded clutch and boxy necklace looked amazing.
Amy Cossins’ designs were the last to hit the runway and they definitely livened things up. Her collection included some vivid graphic printed hoods and bustle-back skirts which ended the show in style.
There we go… the last show of the day. Time for pizza for Team Style Insider! See you back tomorrow for the day we’ve all been waiting for – it’s Gala Show time!
