Our girl Arietanista made looking fabulous with a capital F her mission at this year’s Graduate Fashion Week. Of course she was head-to-toe in River so we thought we’d take this opportunity to show you her GFW wardrobe.

Ari wasn’t the only one looking fierce at GFW – a lot of the students and visitors gave her a run for her money in the style stakes! Check out this video to see some of Ari’s fave fashionistas…

As you know the lovely team from Handbag.com took over The Studio at GFW on Monday.

They invited the GFW crowd to style themselves fabulous in River Island gear, and we had exclusive backstage access to the shoot! We’ve picked out our favourite images from the day, if you wanna see more visit Handbag’s GFW site.

So yesterday it was time for the night we’d all been waiting for. Yep, it was Gala Show night and, transport issues aside, the London fash pack, including Claudia Schiffer, Erin O'Connor, John Rocha and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, turned out in their droves to see the hottest graduate fashion collections of the week and to check out THE designers who are set to be the future of British fashion.
Caryn Franklin was our wonderful hostess for the evening and she kicked off the proceedings by introducing the shortlisted collections for the Gala Awards…

It’s not just clothes on show at Graduate Fashion Week, many of the universities who are exhibiting have a range of students other designs on show.
We had a quick look around to check out what was on offer. From magazines to dolls, there are loads of great exhibitions to see. Read on to find out a bit of info about some of our favourites.

Check out day 3 of Graduate Fashion Week!

Tuesday’s closing show came from UWE Bristol, who left the GFW crowd with smiles on their faces to say the least!

70 year old DJ Derek from Bristol hosted the show; we met him at UWE’s River Rocks event last month and, true to form, he had his bottle of stout in hand. Purely medicinal we’re sure – we were told he was quite nervous about facing the fash pack. “Welcome to the Bristol posse”, Derek announced, and the show begun…

I had high hopes for Ravensbourne, after all it was their ex-student Jessica Au that won the Gold award last year, and I wasn’t disappointed.

The first womenswear collection out was Katie Williams’, all her pieces had clean lines and blocks of colour (orange, yellow, red) garnished with a floral stencil effect.

The Somerset College show was a big mix of styles and influences.

Kimberley Startup’s whimsical toy chest collection was wonderfully imaginative, from her xylophone corset to her spinning top skirt, her childlike print added to the endearing charm of it all.
