Last week River Island provided all the outfits for a fashion show which was held in aid of the Heart to Heart appeal.

The Heart to Heart appeal has the goal of raising funds for a desperately needed cardiac wing at Frimley Park Hospital. The show was held at Farnborough Hill Girls School with 25 girls from the school modeling the River Island outfits in the show alongside 10 boys from the nearby Salesian College.
The evening was orchestrated by Marcus von Ackermann, a volunteer at Frimley Park Hospital and a friend of River Island, who has worked for magazines including French Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle and Wallpaper.
Tickets for the show were sold in Frimley Park Hospital and in the local Camberley River Island store. All tickets sold out and some of the outfits in the show were also put up for auction with all the money raised going to the Heart to Heart appeal.
Overall, the show was a massive success and most importantly raised funds for such a good cause. Marcus said: “The staff, parents and students have been brilliant and we’ve had tremendous support from River Island.” Hopefully, with the help of the local community and further events like this one, the Heart to Heart appeal will reach it’s target of raising £1.5 million pounds to build it’s specialised heart attack centre.
