As you know, the lovely Catherine Kallon from RedCarpet-FashionAwards has been blogging all throughout awards season for Style Insider. Catherine will be posting her last blog on celeb style from the Oscars next Monday before our latest Industry Insider takes over. Our new Insider is style blogger Sandra Hagelstam who we’ll be telling you much more about in a few weeks time. Until then, check out Sandra’s London Fashion Week diary post below...

The days at London Fashion Week were cold and rainy but I didn’t let that bother me, I had a lot to see and many pictures to take! Street style-wise I was surprised how much colour there was. It felt almost like people were forcing themselves into the summer mood and getting an early start on the whole Jil Sander neon craze. Against the rainy sky the colours were so bright to look directly at and definitely made trend spotting much more fun.
The shows were all beautifully presented and as I ran from venue to venue I noticed a few favourite trends that were repeated at many shows. The abstract, almost Mcqueen-like artsy prints seemed to be everywhere, in many different variations, mostly in dresses. The other thing was simple solid cuffs and choker necklaces, which I can’t get enough of!
Highest up my A/W ’11 wish list is a Aminaka Wilmont dress and Amanda Wakeley golden bracelets. Many of the hair dos were right up my alley in messy braids, with my best hair-look being spotted backstage at John Rocha.
After the shows at night it was time for bloggers old and new to get together - it was lovely to meet new bloggers that flew over to London for the week! My starstruck moment had to be when I ran in to my favourite designer Alexander Wang at an afterparty! I had a good reason to say hi as I was wearing both a Wang dress and my brown Wang boots... still not all calmed down about that!
