I walked in to River Island knowing I wanted to do wear something white for my last outfit of the month and I immediately fell in love with this white knit. It has the most perfect cut and fit; I especially like the short sleeves and cute zipper detail in the back. The button down pale grey shirt turned out to work as a perfect skirt and the jeans just looked right with the look. Weird especially considering that I almost never wear jeans, but the worn boyfriend fit made the outfit look dressed-down casual - just how I wanted. While trying to decide what shoes would work best I picked up the leopard ones from a completely different trend, which turned out to be the best finishing touch to the all white ensemble.
Thank you Style Insider for having me as a guest blogger for the last month, it’s been great sharing my favourite River Island picks from the new collection with you! Wishing you all a sunny spring!

I have been wearing these feather necklaces with everything lately... I usually go for rings and bangles but the way these blend in to my hair - I am convincing myself they go with everything. Here I am wearing two similar ones, wrapped around to fit tight. The shirt is pretty self-explanatory but I wanted to add a long cardi to balance out the short length, the tassel vest was a surprise lucky find (it was the last one in store) so I gave in to the bohemian look 100%. In the risk of ending up looking too western, I added a pair of black ankle boots... just because even if I truly wish - it's not summer just yet.

This look was all about the jacket! The way it draped, mixed with the buckles... I was immediately going through ways to wear it in my head! The leather looks best paired with a soft silk shirt so I added a cream one to make it stand out even more. While the idea of a good leather jacket mixed with jeans will never go out of style, this summer I want to pair it with wide leg pants or a sheer maxi skirt for a new shape. These pants are borderline sweat pants - probably the most comfortable ones I own... I thought I could totally get away with that by wearing them with a pair of heels. The studs in the back added that little extra something and was just enough to convince me that I (again) needed a new pair.

I like the idea of wearing faux fur with a sheer top as the weather starts to warm up, and this gilet works perfectly for stepping into a new season. I was trying to tune into the sleek minimalist trend that is everywhere right now and came across these great pants that fall somewhere in between the category of leggings and trousers, with maybe even some resemblance to riding pants! Since the neutral-on-neutral look is key for spring, it felt right to rely on a nude ankle boots, which I will surely get a lot of wear in the near future.
